Obituary of Richard H. Gross
Richard H. Gross of Brick Township and resident of
Greenbriar 2 passed away peacefully at his home on
August 23, 2020. He was married to Zelda Lillian Gross
for nearly 70 years. He had a big heart, cared deeply
about family and friends. He was generous and always
willing to offer a helping hand.
Richard was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army in
Europe. After WWII, he became an award winning
professional photographer and framer. He is credited
with building a custom frame for a picture hanging in the
Vatican. After moving to Brick, he became known for his
active community service and craftsmanship. He served
on many local and town boards and created many unique
and creative sculptures. Some of them can be seen in
Temple Beth Or and in the Brick Township Municipal
Court.
He is survived by three children Todd Gross,
Pamela Gross Dennison, Fred Gross and wife
Jennifer Nourse and two grandchildren:
Alexander Gross and Benjamin Gross.
Funeral Services will be held graveside at B’Nai
Abraham Memorial Park, 2600 US Highway 22 East,
Union, NJ on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 11:00am.
