I served as the Brick Township Business Administrator for many years and got to know Richard well, so well that I can tell you his telephone number from memory to this day and I left the Township in 2006. We stayed in touch and shared Holiday Greetings annually for many years. He once gave me a beautiful hand crafted "catch all" for my desk that I use to this day. His basement shop was a thing to behold.
Richard was one of the most civic minded individuals I have ever known. He cared deeply about Brick Township and doing the right thing. He helped to make Brick Township a better place than it was before he got here and he will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends for the loss of this good man.
