I first met Yetty in 1951. We had moved to the this very old tenement building on fifth Street and 2nd Ave., I was six years old. We lived on the first floor and Yetty lived on the fourth floor. She was very instrumental in my life. She was always kind, sweet, loved, music, loved Frank Sinatra, Billy Eckstine, etc. and played those records for me.
First time I ever had a steak my life she made for me. She was always kind with a smile never said a crossword about anyone in all the years. I knew her she was the most giving, kindest, sweet person I’ve ever known. They’re many things I can say about her, but just too many to list in all the years I knew her…I’m glad she didn’t suffer, and she’s in heaven with the rest of our family members her memory will always be engraved in my mind, and I always cherish all my thoughts of her. God bless her
