Susan Wymiszner

Obituary of Susan T. Wymiszner

On Friday, December 30, 2022, Susan Wymiszner, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed
away at age eighty-four with her husband as always beside her. Born to Ida and Joseph
Sherman, Susan grew up surrounded by the love of her siblings Leonard, Eugene, Barbara, and
Bruce. In 1955 she met Allen Wymiszner as he was sitting in his blue ‘52 Chevy convertible
outside Mike & Lou’s in Bradley Beach, and the rest is history. They were married for sixty-three
years and had two loving children, Lee and Jill.
Susan was best known for her quick wit, honesty, persistence, and fashion sense. Susan loved
her family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping and cooking
with Erin and playing cards, and discussing art with Bradley. She loved playing mahjong with her
friends, catching up with her siblings over a game of canasta, and having family dinners with her
son Lee, daughter Jill, and son-in-law Douglas. More than anything, she enjoyed spending her
days with her husband Allen, doing anything together from the mundane to the exciting; they
always loved the time they shared together.
She is survived by her husband Allen, their son Lee and daughter Jill and son-in-law Douglas,
and grandchildren Erin and Bradley. Donations can be made to World Central Kitchen in lieu of
flowers, as Susan loved food and the way it could always bring together people in their times of
need.
