Obituary of Barbara Lynn Aber

Barbara Lynn Aber, 72, died unexpectedly June 2, 2021, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood, NJ. She was born March 5, 1949, in New York, the daughter of Irving and Tessie Aber. Barbara resided in Queens, NY, and graduated from High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, she served as a legal secretary for a law firm in NY until becoming an insurance secretary for Allstate until retirement. Barbara had a love for reading, chatting with friends and traveling with her daughter Tamara. Their favorite trip was when they went to Italy.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Martin. Surviving is her daughter Tamara Matera, son-in-law Daniel Matera, grandson Carson Matera of Hamilton, NJ and her beloved cat Mouschi. A funeral service of remembrance will be held at 1:00pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at New Montefiore Cemetery, Wellwood Avenue, Pinelawn, NY. In lieu of flowers and for those who wish to remember Barbara in a special way may make donations to American Heart Association.  A Shiva will be held at the home of her daughter Tamara at a later date.
