Our hearts are heavy today... Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering our dear friend, Helene Dressendofer, today and always. She was very special to my husband Stan and me. As many of you know, she bought and sold jewelry, and helped Stan find my engagement and wedding ring (Stan designed them and Helene directed him to a reputable jeweler to custom make the set) and then, a year later, she found Stan's wedding ring - a perfect match to mine - at an estate sale. Besides our engagement/wedding rings, she gifted me a beautiful genuine pearl bracelet to wear on my wedding day, and another pearl and gold ring on my 50th birthday. I cherish these gifts, they're more than just pieces of jewelry; they're pieces of her heart, shared with me! She loved us like family and we felt the same way about her. I'm going to truly miss her. Rest in eternal peace, Queen Helene. Whenever Stan and I look down on our wedding bands, we'll think of you and smile.
