When I think of this amazing lady the first thing that comes to mind is how determined she was not to let her infirmity stop her in any way. She truly inspired me to never complain about my own aches and pains and just keep on trucking.
But I've known "Mrs. Henzel" as she was known to the friends of Ellen. From the first day I moved next door at the age of 13 she was very welcoming. Though later she would come to wonder about the unlikely friendship between her genius daughter and the free Wheeling rebel next door. Lol. She came to accept and appreciate our friendship and I have enjoyed time spent with her over the years. She truly was an inspiration. An amazing woman that will never be forgotten for her intelligence, her wit, her grace and her heart. She will be missed.

It takes someone very special to leave their mark on this world and on those around them. Geraldine Henzel was one of those people for me. Although I didn’t know her as deep as others or for as long, I thought of her and Sir often. She was kind and loving and funny. I enjoyed her company and her stories and her cooking.
My condolences go out to her family. She was truly amazing and I’m so sorry for your loss. She is in some good company now and I hope that brings you all some comfort right now.

I always remember Gerry as a warm and funny person. My fondest memories of her are at my house playing Canasta with my mother and Joan Elliott snd Judy Roland. Gerry had an infectious laugh and always wore a coat because my mother kept the house so freezing cold. She will be missed. Sending Floyd, Ellen, Lois, Julie and their families love and prayers.♥️
