Obituary of Marilyn "Marcia" Bolotsky
Marilyn “Marcia” Bolotsky , 80, of Manchester died Friday, November 20, 2015 at home. She was born in and a longtime resident of Lakewood, prior to settling in Manchester 13 years ago. A graduate of Lakewood H.S., she received her BA from Glassboro State College and MA from Georgian Court College. For more than 30 years, she was a teacher for the Lakewood school system, Solomon Schechter Academy, Howell, and Georgian Court College. Marcia was a charter and past member of Congregation Ahavat Shalom, Lakewood now Congregation Ahavat Olam, Howell and a past member of Congregation B’nai Israel, Toms River. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed buying and selling antiques, playing mahjong, traveling, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Predeceased by her brother, Stanley Isaacs, and sister, Anita Bartol; she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Saul; son, Richard and his wife, Judy, of Toms River, NJ; son, Craig of Bayonne, NJ; son, Howard and his wife, Dawn of Clarence Center, NY; brother, Bernard Isaacs of Toms River, NJ; sister, Harriet Maher of Lakewood, NJ; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Ilana, Jenna Silber (Paul), Cory, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan Silber; and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, 613 Ramsey Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ. Donations in Marcia’s honor may be made to cancer research. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
