Obituary of Fred Ephraim Birnbaum

Loch Sheldrake, NY - On Saturday, January 12, 2019 the world lost a gentle, loving soul. Fred Birnbaum, 78, passed away amidst loving people who care for developmentally disabled individuals at New Hope Community in Loch Sheldrake, NY, whose philosophy is to create a nurturing environment to live with dignity and respect.

He leaves a void for his sister and brother-in-law, Annabel and Manny Lindenbaum; his niece and nephews, Karen, Keith and Scott, their spouses, Ali, Kathy and Patti; his grandnieces and grandnephews who shared his love and joy, Simone, Andrew, Elan, Terri, Zac, Tal, Jacob, Hannah, Lauren, Nina, Leora, Jason, and the memory of Sarah, and of course Eliav, our newest addition.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, January 14, 2019 at Congregation B'nai Israel, 1488 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Interment will follow at Congregation B'nai Israel Memorial Park, Whitty Road, Toms River. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Community, 5 New Hope Community Drive, Route 52, Loch Sheldrake, NY 12759 or New Hope Community.org. Arrangements are under the direction of the Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood.
