Obituary of Herbert Kurinsky
Herb Kurinsky, 86, of Monroe Township, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. Herb was a veteran of the Korean War.
Born in Lakewood, Herb attended Lakewood High School and the University of Miami where he was actively involved in both schools’ football programs. Herb was an All-State Quarterback in high school and was inducted into The Lakewood High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Herb was the founder and CEO of First Montauk Securities, a national broker/dealer and public company based in Red Bank, New Jersey from 1986 until his retirement in 2006. Herb was an early pioneer of the “independent broker” model and grew the company to over 500 financial professionals nationwide. Herb was also a published author of The Option Advantage, a book on stock options.
Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Kurinsky, of 21 years, his stepson Jeff Rosenthal, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place12 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel 613 Ramsey Avenue Lakewood, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery, East 7th Street, Lakewood New Jersey. Donations in memory of Herb can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
