Obituary of Rosalie F. Auerbach
Rosalie Auerbach died August 7, 2017 at the Monmouth Medical Center in Lakewood. She was 77. Born in Bronx, New York, she then lived in West Milford, New Jersey where she worked as an English teacher before retiring to the Fairways in Lakewood 18 years ago. Her husband, Irwin, passed away in 2009.
Rosalie was a passionate woman who loved her family. She loved to read and write, but most of all enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed her time spent at the Fairways, and was involved in numerous committees and clubs. Rosalie is survived by her son Michael Auerbach and his wife Dawn of Wayne, her daughter Lori Skurbe and her husband Jason of Monroe, her sister Bernice Cohen, and her three grandchildren, Thomas, Sarah, and Benjamin. They are left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of strength, love and humor. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 at 1 PM at the Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714 for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Arrangements have been entrusted to Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel in Lakewood.
