Obituary of Stanford Kane

Stanford Kane, 86, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Bella Terra, Jackson, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he raised his family in Lakewood, NJ prior to settling in Manchester. Stanford was an owner of Apollo Carpet, Lakewood, and worked in construction for many years before retiring. He was a long-time member and past president of Temple Beth Am, now Beth Am Shalom, Lakewood; and an active resident of Leisure Village West. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Sarah Katz; and his beloved wife of 45 years, Lesley; he is survived by his son, Jeffrey of Toms River, NJ; his daughter, Tracey Sturman of Howell, NJ; his sister, Regina Sloves of W. Hartford, CT; and his grandchildren, Rebecca and Kenny. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Beth Am Shalom, 1235 Hwy. 70, Lakewood, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth Olam Memorial Park, Lakewood, NJ.
