Obituary of Marc Lewis Appelbaum

Marc Lewis Appelbaum, 49, of Jackson, passed away on August 22, 2015, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Manalapan and Englishtown before moving to Jackson 16 years ago. Marc was employed as an IT Security Manager for Meridian Health in Neptune. He was a NJ state certified EMT Instructor & served as a Volunteer for the Manalapan-Englishtown First Aid Squad. In that time, he acquired the line officer position of Lieutenant & later achieved life member status. Marc had many interests. He was an avid Disney fan & was fascinated with model trains, photography & technology. Marc was particularly fond of the TV program M. A. S. H., so much so, he named his cats “Hawkeye” &” Hotlips”. But most of all, Marc loved his family and the moments they shared together. He is survived by his parents, Stewart & Miriam of Jackson, NJ; loving wife, Robin (Nee; Sherman);adored children, Faith & Eric all at home; sisters, Jill Price of Vienna, VA, & Ilene & her husband, Jeff Lefkowitz of Rockaway, NJ. Memorial donations in memory of Marc may be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org, American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or to Muscular Dystrophy, www.mda.org. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday August 24, 2015, at Congregation Ahavat Olam, 106 Windeler Road, Howell, NJ. Interment will take place at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick TWP.,NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
