Over the past 6 years it was an honor to help Carolyn's care and her battle with illness. Despite her chronic and progressive condition, she has remained cheerful, never lost her sense of humor. The grace, dignity, and strength she has demonstrated during her illness, in the face of obvious adversity, witnessing her cope, made me a better person. It was a pleasure to be part of her team and I also must commend Judy, who has been one of the most committed, effective, and loving caregiver I have seen in my career. Our thoughts at Hopkins are with the family and we will always remember Carolyn as a kind and upbeat patient who never gave up hope.
