Beverly Nager

Obituary of Beverly N. Nager

Beverly Nancy Nager, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the remarkable age of 100.

Born on December 7, 1925, in The Bronx, New York, Beverly spent the first 60 years of her life in New York City. There she built a home with her husband, Joseph Nager, and together they raised their family. In the mid-1980s, Beverly and Joseph moved to New Jersey, where they continued to enjoy a full and happy life together. Joseph predeceased her in 2014 after 66 years of marriage.

Beverly worked as a secretary, but her greatest accomplishments were found outside the workplace. She was devoted to her family and took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater happiness than having her family gathered around her.

She is lovingly survived by her three children, Howard married to Vicki, Rhona married to Neil Stein, and Sherry married to Dan Raines.

Howard’s children are Sarah, Matthew, and Zachary. Matthew and his wife Ivana have a son Levi, age 7, Beverly’s great-grandson. Zachary is married to his wife Kiersten Sahlbuch.

Rhona’s daughter, Amy, and her husband, Adam Nalven, are the proud parents of Beverly’s great-grandchildren, Miles, age 17, and Zoey, age 14. Rhona's son Michael and his wife Yudan Liu treasured their time with Grandma Nancy and she remains in their hearts and memories.

Sherry has a son Jason and a daughter Emily. Jason, and his wife, Lauren, are the proud parents of Beverly’s great-granddaughters, Lily, age 9, and Ava, age 5. Emily is married to her husband Mark Goldstein.

Beverly found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved dancing, playing cards, and playing mahjong with friends. Above all, she cherished every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose love and laughter filled her heart. She enjoyed playing Boggle with the family and often told her highly educated children and grandchildren “I’m only a high school graduate”.

Known for her warm smile, friendly personality, and genuine kindness, Beverly made friends wherever she went. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, and she will be remembered as someone who was always cheerful, compassionate, and full of life. Family and friends alike were drawn to her positive spirit, and she leaves behind countless treasured memories.

Having lived to celebrate her 100th birthday, Beverly witnessed a century of history while creating a legacy defined by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family. Her life reminds us that true wealth is measured not in possessions, but in the love we share and the lives we touch.

Beverly will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family whose lives she enriched. Though she is no longer with us, her love, wisdom, laughter, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
