Obituary of Debra L. McMahon
Debra Lee Kahn McMahon, 56, of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. Known for her warmth, compassion, and radiant spirit, Debra touched countless lives through her kindness and steadfast devotion to family and friends.
Born on January 22, 1969, in New York City, Debra was the beloved daughter of Julian Kahn and Sima Zarinsky Kahn, a close-knit family who nurtured her love for laughter, friendship, and caring for others. She grew up alongside her cherished sister, Hillary Kahn Angeline, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond built on love, shared memories, and lifelong support.
Debra built a career defined by dedication and integrity, spending 30 years with Navicore Solutions, where her colleagues became like family. Her commitment to her work reflected her belief in helping others and doing every task with genuine care. Throughout her long tenure, she earned the respect and affection of her peers, becoming a trusted friend, mentor, and source of positivity in her workplace.
Debra shared a beautiful marriage with the late James McMahon Jr., her partner in life and love. Their time together was marked by joy, laughter, and steadfast devotion. Even after James’s passing, Debra continued to honor the life they built together through her commitment to family, traditions, and the small, meaningful details that make a house a home.
An avid bowler and passionate photographer, Debra found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether capturing a stunning sunset, a candid family moment, or the wagging tail of her beloved golden retriever, Jack, Debra’s photographs reflected her deep appreciation for beauty and emotion. Bowling brought her camaraderie and fun—places where her laughter often echoed down the lanes. Friends remember her as someone who celebrated life in every frame and every frame of mind.
Those who knew Debra best describe her as a “heart of gold.” She was the first to lend a helping hand and the last to leave when someone needed her. Her generous spirit extended beyond blood—she was a treasured aunt to Anthony, Molly, Joseph, and Lauren Angeline, always beaming with pride at their accomplishments and cheering them on with love.
Debra’s presence will be deeply missed by her sister, Hillary, her adored nieces and nephews, her loyal companion Jack, and the many friends and colleagues whose lives she brightened with her humor, empathy, and light. Though her physical journey has ended, her legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love will endure in all who were lucky enough to know her.
A commemoration of Debra’s life will take place at Floral Park Cemetery in Monmouth Junction, where family and friends will gather to celebrate a life well-lived and a soul well-loved. Her memory will forever remain a blessing to those who knew her, reminding us all to live with the same open heart and compassion that defined hers.
